Airlines that operate flights to the United Arab Emirates are getting ready for a rise in the number of people travelling. This is because people are starting to come from their summer vacations before the new school year begins and before business activities start again. Travel agencies and the aviation industry believe that the number of people flying into Dubai and Abu Dhabi and other places in the United Arab Emirates will be highest during the two weeks of August.
The big increase is happening because residents of the United Arab Emirates are coming back from trips they took abroad. Also families who live outside the United Arab Emirates are returning before schools start again. People who work are also going back to their jobs after the summer break. Airlines are seeing a lot of people booking seats on flights from Europe from Asia and from the Middle East. Some of these flights are already almost full during the time, for travel.
Travel companies said airfares are likely to remain elevated through late August due to high demand and limited seat availability on popular routes. While some airlines have increased flight frequencies and deployed larger aircraft on key destinations, industry analysts expect capacity to remain under pressure until travel volumes begin easing in early September.
The seasonal rush marks one of the busiest periods of the year for the UAE’s aviation sector, with airports preparing to handle millions of passengers over several weeks. Dubai International Airport and Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi have introduced additional operational measures to improve passenger flow, including enhanced staffing, digital check-in services and faster baggage processing to minimise delays.
Industry representatives are encouraging travellers to book tickets well in advance, complete online check-in before arriving at the airport and allow extra time for immigration and security procedures. Passengers are also advised to monitor airline notifications for schedule updates as carriers adjust operations to accommodate the increase in demand.
The strong rebound in late-summer travel reflects the UAE’s position as a major international aviation hub connecting Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. With schools scheduled to reopen and corporate activity expected to accelerate after the holiday season, airlines anticipate the busy travel period will continue until the end of August before passenger volumes gradually return to normal levels in September.
